Great, but strenuous hike. Excellent for both day hikes and overnight backpacking camp. Bring at least 2qts of water (or a filter)
This is not an easy or well marked trail. But it's beautiful. Six mile hike (round trip), 1500 elevation change.
Great hiking spot in North Alabama, right on the Alabama Tennessee border. Very cool trail that is challenging and fun.

Fun trail and beautiful destination. The cascades and falls in the canyon are amazing and definitely worth the hike. Note of caution: come prepared (water, fitness, good shoes, etc.) It's an easy hike down but three miles up-hill going out. We saw several people really struggling coming out. Also careful on the falls. We saw two people slip and go over the drop (10 feet); luckily they missed the shallow rock shelf.
